Hello, June! Summer is here and Memorial Day weekend was one of those perfect holidays; Brad and I headed up to my family’s lake house for some much-needed R&R. We took Friday off of work to spend the day in Tahoe to meet with our wedding planner and to see our venue for the first time without snow! It was an all day affair, with rentals to multiple floral appointments, and run-throughs of all the tiny details — I loved every second of it. The rest of the weekend was spent boating under the hot sun and marking the start of summer. Spending time at the lake house means a chance to experiment with new recipes (see here) and even a photoshoot of a fun DIY project. I always return home with something fun to share. See this shabori napkin DIY project, and this cocktail to sip on for past examples!
Is it just me or did the short work week seem somehow even longer? The #SFTreehouseProject is getting it’s new covered entry (yet to be painted) which was quite the feat to install. The #NOPAremodel, which now includes a bathroom, is in the final stages and we are finalizing the wallpaper! With about 5 other projects getting touches here and new windows there, sometimes you just have to stop for a moment and take in the view. SF never seems to disappoint. I hope everyone is ready for the weekend; it couldn’t come soon enough, right?!
I’ll post the DIY project we photographed tomorrow! So, stay tuned!!!
As always, here are the scenes from the week.
If you didn’t catch my post this week on a light, crisp bite for summer entertaining, check out this post! It was a crowd pleaser even among the carb loving, male members of my family (now, that’s an achievement).
At the #NOPARemodel project, the client requested wallpaper, and I couldn’t be happier -stay tuned to see which one we selected!
The exterior surround is getting installed at the #SFtreehouseProject — can’t wait for it to be finished!
While at the design center I picked up a few leather swatches for a chair I’m reupholstering – stunning display of color.
This is just up the road from my client’s home. Not a bad view, right? (Palace of Fine Arts on the far left).
I hope you have a wonderful, manicured week!
