This past Saturday we headed out for an urban hike taking us from the Mission District to the Marina District with our pup, Rufus, in tow. We made a stop in Hayes Valley, a unique district that is great for strolling, grabbing a bite, and shopping.
We have lots of favorite stops in the area, but we checked out the new Anina, a bar with an outdoor patio { which is pup friendly and takes group reservations of ten or more } that opened under the same owners as Brass Tacks. Anina is bright, cheerful, airy, welcoming and sure to be a huge hit with the neighborhood as they serve up well-mixed cocktails and a wide selection of beer {menu below}. If food is what you are after, you won’t find it here except on Saturdays on the patio { yummy tacos and chips from Xing Ones Street Tacos }.
The interior, as shown above, greets you with dream-worth pattern mixing. The cement tile is from Popham Design; a bold mix of patterns paired with a tropical mural by artist Lucila Dominguez, throughout, creates the perfect spot for someone soaking in some summer vibes.
Anina: 482 Hayes St, San Francisco, CA 94102
{ With several beers available { I recommend the sour IPA $9.00 the Mr. had House IPA – $7.00 } and cocktail punch bowls, perfect for sharing with friends, there is something for everyone. }
{ Colorful, ceramic pendants dot along the bar in various colors and shapes. }
{ I couldn’t get enough of the pattern play in this bar. }
{ Always in love with an eclectic gallery wall. }
{ On Saturdays be sure to grab a street taco or two { definitely get the guacamole/tomatillo salsa – delish! }
{ Groups were enjoying the punch bowls while we were there — the Avila is calling my name right now. }
I hope you enjoyed this manicured, SF post.
