Taking the mural up onto the ceiling tricks the eye by drawing it upwards and making the ceiling appear higher than it actually is.
The trick with this space is the painter brought the lines partially down from the painted ceiling design, if the paint lines continued all the way down the walls, it could easily overwhelm the space. This whimsical take on a circus tent is sure to delight the little ones and their parents.
