I’m reminded again and again by strangers, family, and clients, and friends that I am lucky to do what I love for a living. They are not wrong, and I do my best to remind myself {especially on hard days} that I am lucky. So lucky, in fact, that while I am beginning to get ready for our upcoming vacation, I actually find it hard to leave some projects that will be under construction while I’m gone. Not that they are not prepared for my departure, but I really like to physically see and monitor each step of all my projects. No matter how many projects I have done, I still find each one exciting.
This Sunday, all I want to do is relax, but at the same time get everything in order before Monday when I’ll be racing the clock. So today is going to be about prepping. Prepping for our trip, prepping my clients, prepping for any questions anyone might have before I leave, and of course prepping blog posts. Prep. Prep. Prep. I am going to do this in the most calming matter possible. Shall I just repeat this to myself? Probably. First, though, I am going to relax, read some of my favorite columns, fall down a Pinterest rabbit hole, and breathe.
{{ Art is a personal choice; often it can be hard to find THE piece to commit to. Art rental is now an option, allowing you to try pieces out in your own home. Personally, I think I need to try it out.
{{ Love Target and in need of some new furniture? You might just be in luck with their new line that is about to drop.
{{ When two young people meet, fall in love, and create a home fit for guests in search of a surfer/yoga retreat — oh and it’s in Sri Lanka.
{{ I was burnt out on one particular day this week. I put my work down and turned on an episode of Sex and The City – still so good. Loved reading this article on the show.
{{ Loving this small but mighty home – especially that kitchen island tile! Must see.
