As usual, San Francisco is cold and feels like winter this time of year { I just turned our heating off }; the sky is gray, and it’s windy with no sign of letting up. It doesn’t bother me one bit; I actually love it – I also know that it will heat up before too long. Hopefully, we will still be here when it does warm up so we can enjoy the San Francisco summer before we take off for our almost month long vacation in Italy. While it’s cold outside right now, my clients’ projects are looking bright as some are just crossing the finish line and others are breaking ground – all around there are smiles and excitement. Wallpaper has been a big topic this week – some clients have had it installed, others are in the final stages of selections, and one client simply said, “go for it” – I wanted to jump up and down with excitement when she said this. Going bold is not for the faint of heart, but with many of my clients we start small with a powder bathroom { see wallpaper love here, here, and here. } and soon, every wall in the home seems up for negotiation. Have you seen any wallpapers you would like to see in your home?
As always, here are some of the highlights from the week.
Above: a beautiful and bold SF home where the owners had an idea and ran with it, standing out from the crowd.
{ Wallpaper installation,going in at a client’s project in the Marina, is making my heart flutter. }
{ Falling in love with this gorgeous pendant and mirror for a project in Russian Hill, San Francisco, CA. }
{ I love our neighborhood park, Dolores Park, but it’s painful to see the trash each morning left by the crowds #LoveDolores }
{ Searching for the perfect slabs for a couple of client projects – each slab is beautiful in its own way, just need to find the right ones. }
{ Dying over this Kate Spade wallpaper. }
I hope you have a lovely, manicured weekend.
