I don’t think there is one person that doesn’t love to travel {for pleasure that is}. Why is it then, that it can be so hard to pull ourselves away from our work to take the time to plan a vacation? With a promise to ourselves to travel more in the year 2017, we are taking it head on and have decided to take a month-long vacation to Europe starting in the beginning of September. We are so excited to go exploring Europe together, which we are treating as our actual honeymoon. Yes, we went to Hawaii directly after our wedding back in September but in our minds, we called it our, mini-moon. Sounds silly right? Well, by calling it a mini-moon it would hold us accountable to take the bigger, longer trip that we ultimately wanted for our real honeymoon and not get so caught up with our work that it gets put on the backburner. We are getting super excited about all the possibilities of where to go, what to see, and what to do. This weekend, we hope to narrow down exactly where we want to go and book our main flights. I’m a firm believer that you should not spend time in Europe trying to squeezing in everything, but to take it slowly and allow yourself to get lost in the destinations. I love walking around the cities, villages, and towns and wondering what it would be like to live there, chat with the locals, and finding the best places for everything from a coffee to a gelato. I’m actually meeting with a girlfriend to help her plan her trip to Croatia {one of my favorite destinations} and I can wait to sit down with her and chat about traveling, trading secrets, and tips on our favorite spots.
When it comes to traveling, do you plan out every detail or do you love to see where the wind takes you?
As always, here are the scenes from the week.

I hope you have a lovely, manicured weekend.
