If you just purchased a home, I advise you to try to live in it for one year prior to embarking on a remodel and for good reason! It allows you to feel out the home, you will see how it needs to work for you and your family. Of course, your tastes will change over the years but I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve already changed my mind on how I want our kitchen to look. It has once again been edited and you will see why with this multi-finish kitchen. I’ve always wanted two different finishes but now, it’s three as shown in the picture above.
Mixing finishes is no easy feat but when executed correctly it can draw the eye around the room, make a room feel larger, and of course show off your personality along with visual interest. Personally, I love the idea of adding cabinetry that feels that it was always there, essentially a piece of furniture that you have built around. Natural wood tones, warm the space up, providing an inviting feeling where one want’s to pull up a barstool and stay awhile.
Natural Wood Tones in the Kitchen
{{ This buffet is drool worthy }}
{{ These drawer fronts are beautiful, the grain in the wood brings in so much character }}
{{ Mix in your third finish with some floating shelves }}
{{ The blue isn’t the only statement-making character in the room }}
{{ This reclaimed wood hood brings life to this white clean kitchen }}
What do you think, will you embrace this kitchen look? I know I’m currently obsessing with it and I’m pretty sure I will be for a long time.
I hope you enjoyed this manicured post!
