Last weekend we were invited by some family friends to help them bottle a small batch of wine that they make – approx 200 cases. With Sonoma being a quick 45min drive from SF, we jumped at the chance to help out and test out their wine. With a bottling truck helping to move things along quickly, I had time to explore the farm where the bottling was taking place. The land was spotted with Jersey cattle. They must be the cute version of a cow, as I couldn’t stop snapping photos of them; their big brown eyes stare back at you with such a sweetness about them. We couldn’t make a visit to wine country without stopping at a winery – we opted for some bubbles and a gorgeous view, not a bad way to wine down the day right?
The week was off to a start with the selection of the porch material for the #MenloParkRemodel that will also be used in the back of the house. I set out knowing I wanted irregular Connecticut Bluestone in a full-color range, but it was the Glacier Green boulders that caught my eye. When I showed this picture to my client, she too was convinced they had to have a place in the backyard. We plan to use a few for pops of color – her favorite color at that! Finishing touches are taking place, and despite a few hold ups with a gas line the #SFTreeHouseProject will be finishing up in the next month or so.
With a busy work week, I don’t typically make it out during the evenings until the weekend. Normally, I like to spend that time writing posts for My Manicured Life, catching up on emails and calls with vendors, clients, and contractors. This week, though, I was able to escape the desk and head to a ball game at AT&T Park to watch the Giants. Then, on Wednesday, we went to The San Francisco Showcase house – it was beyond stunning. I will have a full review up this weekend with all the glorious details, so stay tuned!
Enough with the yada yada. Here, as always are the scenes from my week!
How cute is this cow? Awwwww
A little stop for some bubbles at Artesa Winery in Napa.
How gorgeous are these Glacier Green boulders?
I’m obsessed with this Kilim pillow from St. Frank that will be in the Granddad’s room at the #SFTreeHouseProject.
Just a peek into the San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2016.
Took a little break (though it was forced) when I was waiting on an electrician – luckily it was pretty gorgeous out!
