Blame it on the spring weather but I’m being drawn to lighter wood tones; while I love the richness found in walnut furnishings (my usual go-to) I’ve recently been pulled in another direction, and I’m pretty happy about it. I’m not just talking about lighter wood but rather an overall neutral pallet that makes a home versatile and elegant and allows you to build off of it with the use of color.
Let’s take a look at some inspiration, but read on as I will break down the elements these rooms have in common despite a variety of styles in these different spaces.
Neutral Living Rooms
So, what do these rooms have in common besides being stunningly beautiful? Texture, and lots of it! From wall hangings to light fixtures, texture creates visual interest that keeps the eye moving around the space to make it seem larger than it actually is. Neutral pallets work despite your style – whether it’s clean and simple or layered and bohemian – you will end up with a calming yet bright and airy space. What’s not to love?
