As an interior designer, I’m lucky that I get to work with many different styles since no client or project is the same. Neutral interiors have been calling my name lately — what’s not to love? While some may feel a neutral interior feels cold or boring, they are actually anything but. Neutral interiors can be rich with depth and warmth, and this week’s home tour is a great example of a well executed neutral interior. With all white walls and a black and white interior, including the child’s bedroom, there are warm wood tones that are sprinkled throughout and layers upon layers of textiles and textures. As always, you can shop the look of this stunning home tour.
Even with a black and white kitchen, a graphic runner and fresh florals brings warmth to the kitchen.
The bold but casual feel of the banquette is inviting; layers of pillows rich in texture and pattern pull one in for long conversations around the table.
Rather than glass in the built-in cabinets, wire mesh allows one’s “shelfie” to be seen while bringing in an unexpected texture.
Sherling chairs with brass accents pull you in for a warm dining experience.
A bold rug sets the tone for the room and is balanced with clean lines, soft linens, and textures.
A perfectly layered bedroom is bright but warm.
Brass hardware and plumbing keep the bathroom feeling anything but cold. Don’t you just love this black vanity and those sconces?
A freestanding tub takes center stage and a black surround makes a stunning statement.
Even a child’s room can take on the black and white theme with a playful approach.
