Honestly, it’s just been one of those weeks – I’m so blessed that business has been booming and only continues to do so, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I don’t spend a good bit of each day thinking of our upcoming trip to Italy. This week was filled with some lovely moments, of course, from installations and a client jumping up and down as she observed her home being transformed, to meeting new clients and taking on fun projects, to the highlights of seeing a house surrounded by colorful flowers on one very foggy day {a massive amount of floral photos can always be found on my phone}. While the weekdays are full, I strive to make my weekends as stress-free as possible by getting outside — even if it’s just for a couple hours — and logging off as necessary to prepare for another packed week. This weekend, I plan to do just that. Finding a work/life balance isn’t always easy, and it’s something I have to work at constantly. I know I’m not alone and that you are probably struggling day to day with the same thing. Scenes From The Week is one of my favorite posts to write; it’s simple, but it makes me reflect on fun, positive moments during the week – not because I don’t notice them — but often I’m too busy to really let them soak in, so on Fridays I get to relive it. What do you do to help keep the work/life balance in check in your own life?
As always, here are the scenes from the week.
{ Ocean Beach providing some texture and pattern inspiration. }
{ There are about a billion photos of this wall on my phone. }
{ Displaying cutting boards along your backsplash is a great way to bring in warmth and texture; take a nod from this view and hang them on the wall. }
{ Gorgeous accessories, perfect for any table top. }
{ It wasn’t just that wall that I took a million photos of. }
{ A glimpse into a remodel underway in Burlingame, California. }
I hope you have a lovely, manicured weekend.
