There is nothing better really than soaking in the summer sun. The Mr., friends, and I {with our pup, Rufus, in tow} all headed to our family’s lake house for a weekend of warm weather, boating, fishing, good food, and floating. It was perfect. I haven’t gone fishing since I was a kid and once my friend lent me her fishing pole, I find myself searching for a fishing shop to get one of my own despite not catching anything. The weekend was glorious but short, and then it was back to finishing up some projects (that had a quick turn around time) once I was back in the city.
As a designer, I constantly desire to feel inspired and sometimes it comes at me wave after wave, but recently it has felt as if I’ve seen it all before; nothing is new and everything feels flat. Luckily, I worked with my amazingly talented friend and photographer, Elena Graham, to put together a series that will focus on artisans that I admire (for many reasons — each vastly different than the next). I am beyond looking forward to sharing this series with you all!
As always, here are the highlights from the week.
