This week marks one year of living in our first home in San Francisco. It has had its ups and downs of course, but we look back on it with a bit of pride, to be frank. Buying a home felt very much like saying hello to adulthood {okay, getting married did too}. We had a large to-do list when we bought our home; while we have definitely chipped away at it the list, as any homeowner knows, actually grows. Once an item is crossed off, we seem to add another item, or two, or even three to it. I think it will always be that way; even if the construction projects end, I’ll never be done rearranging and tweaking – which of course I love. One would think that with remodeling home after home for my clients my energy would be gone. I was even nervous of this myself, however, we love it so much we simply can’t help but work on it. Even with that long list, we made sure to take the time to reflect, enjoy, and smile at our accomplishment.
As always, here are the scenes from the week.
{above: On our one year anniversary as homeowners, we took a photo in the same spot we did on the day we moved in with Rufus looking equally panicked as he did that day- see here}

I hope you have a lovely, manicured weekend.
