Last weekend was filled with family time; with my younger sister living just 8 blocks away, we spend a lot of time together. My older sister lives about 45min out of town, but she had news to share with us this past weekend and invited us over for a little gathering for the gender reveal of her second baby {due in September}. While I can’t give it away as she still has so many friends to tell, we couldn’t be more excited for the new arrival. Designing nurseries is always an honor; it’s a room that many dream about and plan well in advance. I can’t wait to help her create a little sanctuary for her baby _____.
Speaking of kids, my photographer and I headed out to a bathroom remodel I designed. While it’s essentially for the entire family, it is primarily used by their two little girls and we included them in some of the shots. I can’t wait to share the end result with you; the room just makes you smile when you enter it. Photoshoot days are always fun but sad at the same time, as they mark the end point for a design project and the amount of time you spend with the client inevitably slows. There are always more projects on the horizon, and this week new ones started at a fast pace.
As always, here are the scenes from the week.
{ Checked out Temescal Brewing in Oakland over the weekend – the Mr. went for the beer, and I wanted to leave with this pottery. }
{ My older sister had her baby’s gender reveal party over the weekend – as a designer, having paint chips in pink and blue were a natural choice for an easy game. }
{ Photoshoot days are the best days, sneak peek into the #JGDBurlingameRemodel. }
{ My friend and photographer took me to Nourish for a late lunch – it’s a 100% plant based and delish – think I’ve found a new favorite spot. }
{ Taking in the SF views on my daily walk with our dog, Rufus – the best way to start the day. }
I hope you have a lovely, manicured weekend.
