While I designed and had this sofa custom made for me, I get a lot of requests for something similar. Our blue velvet sofa has been around the internet a few times and back again. What I actually love most is that it’s one-of-a-kind yet upholstered in a dog-friendly, husband-friendly, wine drinker-friendly fabric. You can basically wipe peanut butter off and never have an issue! I don’t tell my husband about this feature! Blue is also one of the most requested colors by my clients, both male, and female. Whether you love the lighter shades or the dark rich tones, these blue sofas will have your heart skipping a beat.
Think a blue sofa will tie you into a certain look for the life of the sofa? Guess again, it couldn’t be more of a transitional color, ready for when your mood changes and you are switching things up – the perfect base.
As I mentioned, people ask me all the time where to purchase a blue velvet sofa; I’ve rounded up my favorites at the bottom of this post. But first, inspiration.
Now, my own sofa sits in the front living room of our new home – our favorite spot in the house (for now). But, let’s see how it looked in our old apartment…
Same sofa, different look. While I miss that pink wall, it went away not long after the Mr. moved in – the sofa, though, that will be with us for a long time. See my home tour here, here, and here.

A classic chesterfield wrapped in a rich blue velvet is mixed into a bohemian inspired space proving that a blue sofa can work in even an unexpected style.
Take the same style sofa and place it in a different setting, proving how transitional these blue babies can really be.
Similar to my own sofa; however, this sofa has a more streamlined arm compared to the English roll armed sofa in my home.
Studs, velvet, nailheads + velvet makes one gorgeous statement that really is a piece of art in itself.
Dusty blue is equally lovely, but I also love that they went with a dark blue velvet ottoman!
Deep seats beg you to cozy up.
Clean lines and soft throw pillows work in this eclectic space.

I hope you enjoyed this manicured post.

I’ve searched high and low for a dusty blue tufted sofa and my favorite has been the one you showcase in your picture with the blue fireplace and darker blue ottoman. Can you tell me where that sofa came from? It appears to be the correct size too! Thanks in advance!
