It wasn’t too long ago that I left my old neighborhood of Lower Pacific Heights, living just steps from a boutique filled street sprinkled with bars and restaurants. The Elite Cafe was a common destination to meet friends for brunch, dinner, and or drinks – a New Orleans inspired menu that never disappointed.
The Elite Cafe closed it’s doors not long after we left, only to be taken over by a new owner with a new chef still keeping with the New Orleans style plates. No, I’m not a food blogger, but the revamp alone should be enough to get anyone in to admire the new digs. The Mr. & I grabbed brunch on Sunday beating the crowds, and our jaws dropped when we saw the interior. A color pallet of black, white, deep blues, greys and warm brass table tops and accents provided the perfect backdrop to cozy booths, great lighting, and an inviting menu. It’s one to put on the list to check out.
