There is no time of year that I enjoy more than Christmas — the lights that line the streets, the holiday music, the crisp cool air and the time to find the perfect gifts for my family and friends. There is nothing better than finding the one item that I know they will cherish and that brings a smile to their face.
Growing up my two sisters and my mum would embark on an all day shopping trip right after Thanksgiving. We would head to San Francisco, about 45 min north of my childhood home, to spend the day shopping, having lunch together while taking in the city views, and we would end the day with champagne. Times have changed a bit since then, and we shop more and more online as time seems to slip by; before we know it December is coming to an end.
