The Modern Grey Farmhouse
Farmhouse – when you hear this, Modern may not be the next word you think of — countryside, probably. Well, this Farmhouse brings Modern and countryside together to create a home that you will want to move right into. Griffiths Design Studio completed this home renovation showcasing clean lines, texture, and a muted pallet that is rich and inviting.
Stunning textiles, rich natural leathers, and deep greys set the tone for this stunning showpiece of a home. The white washed ceilings provide a sense of space and help to reflect light around the home, allowing the rich grey patina walls and dark built-ins to pop. Grey tones run throughout, starting with the wide plank floors and the dark grey carpet. These help set the tone for a Modern and inviting renovated farmhouse. While one might think white bookcases would be best in a farmhouse, these black cabinets allow the accessories and collections to pop, pulling you in. Overall, the design elements chosen to enhance the space do just that but in a way that appears to be effortless, and one that makes us want to curl up on the sofa.
