Home Tour: The Unexpected in a Colonial Home

October 17, 2016

I was speaking with a friend recently who moved into her new place in LA; she had been experimenting with accessories, color, and furnishings. Through it all, she said she really struggled and didn’t enjoy the process.  I explained that discovering those perfect pieces, the ones that you can’t live without, the ones you simply have to have, don’t come easy – take your time and explore your style – essentially, let your heart lead you.  Be open to mixing in the unexpected, it can simply be the perfect thing that your home needs.

This week’s home tour is the perfect example of mixing Traditional and Modern elements.  So eloquently done; french antiques seem perfectly situated at this home sitting among lacquered white kitchen cabinets. A colonial home is an easily recognizable style; however, one step inside this colonial, and it is perfectly one-of-a-kind.

Love the style of this house?  Be sure to catch the how to get the look section at the bottom of this post!
