Home Tour – Antique meets New in Wine Country

June 21, 2016

With wine country a relatively quick drive from San Francisco, we visit often – the endless wineries and gorgeous landscapes beckon to us when the city becomes all too much to take. City people we claim to be, however, with a country cottage such as this one, I might reconsider my living situation. From pieces collected over time to those that you’ll recognize from that massive catalog that lands on your doorstep every so often, this home is filled to the brim with charm.

White walls, warm wood tones, industrial touches, and furnishings that are the epitome of conversation pieces – it feels inviting. It’s so inviting, in fact, that the owners should be careful that guests don’t want to move right in!  The use of texture can be found everywhere – from the beams in the kitchen to the baskets hung on the living room wall to make a stunning statement.  From the shiplap walls to the doors used to create a headboard in a bedroom to the rope in the bathroom — there is so much to take in, but it’s so well executed that you want to slow down and take in every inch of the home.

With so many gorgeous elements that make up this home, be sure to find my “Get The Look” at the bottom of this post.
