There are those moments in life, where something catches your eye, but you walk away and then you can’t seem to stop thinking about it. You dream about it, you go over each detail of it while out on your morning run, again while in traffic and through the entire day until you are laying awake at night simply…obsessing! I’m currently obsessing over the scallop motif! I’ve seen them again and again, and it didn’t really grab me until this week. It can be used as the smallest design detail or to make a bold statement; the scallop motif is more versatile than one might think.

Can’t commit to the scallop motif? Try using paint to bring this trend into your home. No huge commitment required, but I think you will let it stay longer than you think!
Another example of scallop tiles; this time, on the wall instead of the floor. Stunningly simple and sweet.
These roman shades are subtle enough yet eye catching.
Eye spy with my little eye…one gorgeous scalloped light fixture, subtle and lovely.
