To the Ceiling and Beyond!

As you most likely know, paint is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to give your space a revamp. Sure, you could paint the walls, but why not try out painting your ceilings a different color? Take this image above as an example; this guest room received painted, removable wallpaper on it’s ceiling – a fantastic approach for renters that say they aren’t allowed to paint!

Dark or light, these spaces will make you want to run to your local paint shop and spend the weekend adding the wow factor to your home!

Dark Ceilings

Living Room

These dark ceilings do the exact opposite of what one might expect —  the dark ceilings anchor the colorful furnishings and make the ceilings appear higher than they are by providing depth that doesn’t seem to end.

This paint job turns a stark white and boring bathroom into a dramatic space while keeping cost down.

I love how the dark ceiling pulls from the color of the trees outside while maintaining balance with the interior decor.

purple

Deep and moody, this ceiling provides major home inspiration! I would love to see it in a dining room.

If the artist in you is screaming to get out, try your hand at a painting project that will make visitors take notice upon entering the space!

How lovely is this home office? This space is sure to inspire!

A beautiful and colorful shadow onto the walls makes this room a delight!

Even the smallest of spaces deserve attention!

Pastels

Green with envy in the lovely kitchen.

pastel

I love this color; so sweet, but I wouldn’t limit pastels to a bedroom!

This calming color on the ceiling provides just the right amount of pop in this white kitchen. Notice the styled saucepan on the stove bringing the color down and into the space?

Let it Fall Up or Down

Taking the mural up onto the ceiling tricks the eye by drawing it upwards and making the ceiling appear higher than it actually is.

tent

The trick with this space is the painter brought the lines partially down from the painted ceiling design, if the paint lines continued all the way down the walls, it could easily overwhelm the space. This whimsical take on a circus tent is sure to delight the little ones and their parents.

stripe

I love the bold use of color here, from the ceiling to the wall, to the floor. Go bold or go home?

Are you renting and wanting to try your hand at not only painting but removable/paintable wallpaper? Find it here.
